I invented an angled endpin that allows a double bassist to adjust the way the instrument balances without altering the instrument.
It builds on the work of Francois Rabbath, but makes the angled endpin more accessible in the following ways:
1. You do not have to drill into the bass.
2. You do not need a luthier to install it.
3. You can adjust the endpin to suit your instrument, body, and playing style.
The bass feels lighter and it stays in an optimal playing position with less effort.
If you are interested in purchasing an endpin, contact one of the following shops:
Europe — Alexander Grünert http://www.gruenert.eu/
Australia/NZ — Atelier Puglisi http://www.atelierpuglisi.com/
**I am currently seeking partnerships with string shops in North America and Japan. Please email me (emilio at emilioguarino.com) if you are interested in stocking the endpin.
